A Nascent Notion to Help Musicians

Dear Jeff Bezos, Daniel Ek and so on,
Since most musicians make what money they do make via live performances and touring, these times of sheltering in place shutdown their music -based income, except for the pittance they might make with streaming of recorded material. Let’s change the pittance for now.
My thought here is for streaming services (existing or a new one built for this purpose) to increase the pittance they pay the people who make the content, the musicians, artists creators.
After all, these services are likely to get more streams and more subscribers with so many locked up with little to do; they could channel those increases to the artists who need it.
Another thought is to allow the top artists to share their revenue with the starving less popular artists, at least temporarily. Use the streaming platform as a charitable distribution channel.
If this idea is terrible, I’m only on my second cup of coffee.
